  10. Why do new models have to pay for their test shoot?

You should know up front, no one rides for free. Even the top models in the world have to pay. Because this is a business there are hard costs and therefore everyone has to incur their own expenses.

  11. Who pays for models to go over seas?

If you have the opportunity to travel some international markets will forward your expenses and you then pay that account back as you work but this is only if a big market like New York would like to see you. Till then the small investment into Numa is totally worth it, you’ll see.

  12. Why an agent has to work so hard

Numa gets paid when you get paid. Standard across North America is a 20% commission to the agency for all work booked for modeling jobs. Acting is a bit different in that the commission is only 15% that the agency takes. This is a small amount and so that is why an agent had to work hard on behalf of the models to make money.

  13. Why do international models have to be so tall and skinny?

Because each major city already has lots of model/actors already located there, clients can be more picky in who they want to have sent to them. It would not be in their interest to have a model/actor fly to their country/city if there is not something unique about their look/skill and so they can be more choosy in who they work with from other countries/cities.

  14. Can a parent travel with the model?

It is mandatory to have proper chaperone arrangements for an underage model/actor to travel. It would be the first choice of the agency to have a parent travel with their child. It is not always possible for this to happen and at this time other arrangements are investigated.

  15. Where do models live when away from home?

When models are to travel abroad or across the country they have the option to stay with family and friends or in all major cities there are housing arrangement set up by the agency. This will usually consist of other models and their parents.
